Contact can be made via phone, email, or social media.

Deposit & Payment Terms

• Standard projects: 50% deposit, balance on completion.
• Bar cabinets: 50% deposit, 25% on completion of dry build, remainder on completion.

Cancellation Policy

• Notice of at least 4 weeks is required.
• If materials have been ordered or work has started, the deposit is non-refundable.

3. Guarantees & Warranties

3.1. Workmanship

We provide a 2-year guarantee on all workmanship.

3.2. Materials

Materials supplied are covered as per the manufacturer's warranty.

4. Site Safety

4.1. Client Responsibilities

• The client must ensure clear, safe access to the work area.
• Children and pets must be kept away from the site while work is in progress.

4.2. Right to Cease Work

We reserve the right to cease work immediately if the working conditions are deemed unsafe.

5. Insurance

We hold the following cover under Tradesman Insurance (Policy No. 444900287192, Convex Insurance UK Limited):

Key Exclusions

• Work involving heat away from your premises.
• Work above 10 metres in height.
• Damage to items being worked on caused by our work.
• Fixed woodworking machinery usage.

Conditions

• Sub-contractors must hold their own insurance.
• Fall-arrest equipment required for work above 5m unless edge protection is in place.
• Health & Safety policy in place and acknowledged by all employees.

6. Liability

• We are not liable for delays or loss caused by circumstances beyond our control.
• We are not responsible for damage to items already in poor condition or pre-existing issues unless caused directly by our work.

7. Intellectual Property

• All designs, plans, and drawings created by BH Carpentry & Joinery remain our property until full payment is received.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or use our designs for any purpose without prior written consent.

8. Force Majeure

We will not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Fire, flood, storm, or extreme weather
• Supply chain delays, strikes, or transport issues
• Acts of government or regulatory authorities

• Actual products or services may vary slightly from what is shown.

10. Complaints & Disputes

• Complaints must be made in writing to info@bhcarpentry-reading.co.uk.
• We aim to resolve all disputes promptly and fairly.

11. Governing Law

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
• Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
